The bothies are tried and tested in our Hebridean climate, they are built with extremely high levels of insulation and air tightness to be as comfortable and efficient to run as possible.
All external cladding materials, windows and doors are chosen to perform against the Hebridean climate. These spaces are not just built “tough”, they are designed to be easy to use with practical and elegant storage solutions. “Tardis” is often a word used to describe them!
For specialist jobs, I have a group of trusted subcontractors who I work with to undertake the build wiring, plumbing, groundworks and planning drawings.
